JAZZ LEADERSHIP PROJECT (JLP) is designed to optimize leadership capacity and accelerate team development for heightened workplace engagement and achievement. Engagement and interaction are core aspects of the workshop flow. No music knowledge is needed to gain an understanding of how jazz principles and practices can promote creativity, strengthen leadership capacity, and elevate inclusive team synergy.
The workshop experience usually begins with a 10-12 minute online Pre-Workshop Assessment - details below - which analyzes work-style preference. A team matrix maps the entire group's synergy, from structural and design roles to technical and conceptual, and harmonizes operational styles with the roles and responsibilities of the jazz rhythm section (bass, drums, piano).
Jazz music is a critical part of the workshop to demonstrate jazz principles and practices, and to engage workshop participants with embodied awareness.
Participants engage in creative, fun improvisational group exercises.
Small group collaborations and presentations utilize jazz elements that demonstrate leadership values and inclusive, collaborative dynamics.
